Wordless Wednesday: Does This Pregnancy Make Me Look FAT? #TaylorMadeRanch

I’m out in the pasture several times each day checking the cow that we anticipated would calve around the end of October. I’m still not seeing the final signs of pregnancy indicating labor is imminent. Poor girl, she looks miserable!

Love this, our cows never calve when we expect them or want them too. Thanks for sharing at good morning mondays. Blessings.

Good to hear that mama and baby are doing fine. The livestock need to learn to be on better schedules so that the babies aren’t born in these cold/ freezing temperatures :} Oh, come on Spring.

Gosh, maybe it’s going to have twins. The baby will probably come during the night when it’s so darn cold out.

LOL Colleen, I find myself asking often when a cow gets so large if maybe she has twins. We’ve only had one set of twins ever on our ranch (sadly neither twin nor mama survived). The cow shown here actually calved just before this picture had time to get published – a rather large heifer calf. Mama & baby are doing just fine. It’s funny you mention that the baby will probably come during the night when it’s cold – unwritten ranching law states “A calf will be born in the worst possible weather”. LOL ~TMR~
