Wordless Wednesday: Too. Much. Water!

by Tammy Taylor

Wordless Wednesday: Although precipitation isn't forecast until this evening, moisture rises from the waterlogged ground as fog this morning. #TaylorMadeRanch

We’ve had so much rain for so long that although more precipitation isn’t forecast until this evening, moisture rises from the waterlogged ground as fog this morning.

We had another two inches today. When we dry out, I’ll plant more, too. Have a blessed weekend. ♥

We had the same fog here, too. I think we are going to lose about half the green beans that looked so pretty a few days ago. Ah well! Blessings to you all!

Yes LindaG – I’ve replanted the veggie garden twice, the second planting is looking iffy… ~TMR~

Pray that some of that rain heads West! Our soil and forests are so dry in CA that I fear for fire season! Love your blog!

Seems sometimes it’s feast or famine, huh Anne? We’ve been dealing with multi-year drought which drove many cattle owners out of business, then THIS system comes through and creates problems of its own. More water is typically better than not enough water though, so I’m still counting my blessings… ~TMR~

Bring out the Ark. Your photo is really pretty but with all this moisture also comes the mugginess & humidity as well. Sunday; in the early morning hours we had quite the down pour as well as some flooding in our area. I would say we got right around 7 inches within a 5 hr. period. Our rain gauge runneth over, so I know we received at least more than 5 inches but I do know we got more than that.

OMGosh Colleen, that’s a lot of water in a very short time. And with all the water comes not only the mugginess & humidity but also the mosquitos! The ground around the ranch has been so saturated for so long that there’s a stagnant-water stench in the air these days. I’ve never seen a spring with this much water! ~TMR~

And we are so dry here where I live we can’t even mow because it raises such a dust cloud.

OMGosh Maria, like I said – feast or famine sometimes. Hoping for some of the wet stuff to come your way soon. ~TMR~

Even with all the water Patricia, you’re right – we need to take the time to enjoy the beauty of it too. Thanks for stopping by. ~TMR~
