Fall-Back Friday: Solar Cooking – Homemade Marinara Sauce

In many areas of the U.S. the slow march of the fall season has begun.  But here in NE Texas it’s still summertime weather, hot & dry!  I’m anxious for the cooler weather to finally arrive for us as well, but I am pretty excited that we’ve made it through yet another week – TGIF Y’all!  And to celebrate Friday I’ll share a Fall-Back Friday post with you.  I’ll fall back into the blog archives and bring back to the surface a post that’s proved very popular with our readers in the past.  Today’s topic includes the SUN, something we’re still seeing lots of around here!  I wanted to make my own homemade marinara sauce with tomatoes fresh from the garden but I was dismayed to see how long you had to simmer it.  I really hate to bring that heat & humidity inside the house.  Solar Cooking – problem SOLVED!
