Throwback Thursday

by Texas Homesteader~

Today I’m going to share a Throwback Thursday post with y’all.  What’s that you ask? Well it’s where I fall back into the archives and bring back to the surface a post that’s proved very popular in the past, & today’s topic is shortcuts when making homemade bread.

I’ve (FINALLY) stumbled on a fantastic recipe for soft fluffy homemade Sandwich Bread that I make for RancherMan and he loves it. I’ve even modified it somewhat to make an Oatmeal Sandwich Bread variation using a bit of oat flour made by grinding whole oats in my coffee grinder. But no matter which recipe I’m using, I love that I can use these shortcuts to shorten the time spent in the kitchen as well as fewer dishes to wash. Win/win! Check it out, y’all!

I used your recipe to make this bread and it’s delicious!
I’ve been having it every day,so nice and soft and tasty.
I always say, when you can keep a loaf of store bought bread for 3 weeks and it doesn’t mold or go bad…just imagine what’s in it!
    Thanks for the recipe.
I’ll be making it often ☺

(smiles) That is so awesome Shirley, thank you! We really love this bread as well. Sometimes when life gets busy and we have to buy a loaf or two, RancherMan’s always very glad for me to resume my bread making so he can get (as he calls it) “The Good Stuff” again. LOL We often comment the same thing you did about store-bought bread – if you can keep it 3 weeks without mold or going bad, you’ve got to wonder what the heck is in it!! ~TxH~
